Equipment

  • Blender or food processor
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Pitcher or large jar
  • Serving glasses

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 cups cubed seedless watermelon about ½ of a medium watermelon
  • 0.5 cup fresh mint leaves plus more for garnish
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 tbsp honey or agave syrup optional, depending on sweetness
  • 1 cup cold water or sparkling water
  • ice cubes to serve
  • 1 pinch salt optional, enhances flavor

Instructions

  • Chop the watermelon into chunks and place in a blender. If chilled, it enhances the flavor.
  • Add mint leaves and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
  • Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve if you prefer a smoother texture.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness with honey or agave syrup. Add a pinch of salt if desired.
  • Stir in cold water or sparkling water. Add ice and chill until ready to serve.
  • Garnish with mint leaves and thin watermelon wedges. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can make it a slushie by blending with ice or add spices like ginger for a cozy winter twist. Use lemon instead of lime for a sharper citrus edge. Store in fridge up to 24 hours, stir before serving.
